Interlay is the Association of Block Paving Contractors and has the following principal objectives:
Promote and maintain the highest standards of laying
practice
Develop installation techniques and influence
standards
Increase the pool of competent installers
Maintain
an up-to-date list of members that is recognised by clients,
specifiers and contractors as a reliable source of specialist
installers.
The Interlay membership covers all areas of paving from
domestic to heavy industrial and including permeable pavements.
Members are all experienced contractors with specialist
capabilities in block paving, a proven track record and
the ability to meet the highest standards of workmanship
and service. To ensure that these criteria are met, stringent
application procedures are in place including interviews,
inspection of completed projects and the taking-up of references.
Applicants must also have been trading for at least two
years. All members adhere to a Code of Practice and formal
disciplinary procedures are in place if called for. All
current members are included in the Interlay Members’ List
on the website: www.interlay.org.uk.
